Week 17 has been one of the worst, which is why this post is more than a week overdue. I caught some sort of stomach virus and couldn't keep any food or liquids down. It was terrible. It started on a Tuesday afternoon and continued into Wednesday morning. I called the doctor and the nurse called in some medicine for me. I was finally able to keep something down, but didn't feel well the rest of that week.
Here's what babycenter.com says about week 17:
How your baby's growing:
Your baby's skeleton is changing from soft cartilage to bone, and the umbilical cord — her lifeline to the placenta — is growing stronger and thicker. Your baby weighs 5 ounces now (about as much as a turnip), and she's around 5 inches long from head to bottom. She can move her joints, and her sweat glands are starting to develop.
