Ryan, week 31

Ryan and I had a successful 31 week check-up...not so much for the 4-D ultrasound make-up. The 4-D ultrasound was first and while he is no longer facing my back, he did have one of his arms across his face the entire time. It was still good to "see" him. We found out that he has hair...a lot of it on the crown of his head and he weighs approximately 3 lbs 12 oz and I'm measuring one day ahead of schedule.

My blood pressure was fine - though I don't know exactly what it was. I had a little distraction, Jacob, with me at this appointment. I didn't see my regular doctor, but the doctor I did see asked if I was having contractions...don't think so. I'd know, right? I go back in 2 weeks for my 33 week appointment.

Here's what babycenter.com says about the little guy:
How your baby's growing:
This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
